![]() I know this thread is old, but I didn't see a straight answer.Īnd as for modifying the asset, I remember reading it somewhere but I couldn't find it again. Without limitation of the foregoing it is emphasized that END-USER shall not be entitled to share the costs related to purchasing an Asset and then let any third party that has contributed to such purchase use such Asset (forum pooling). ![]() It is emphasized that the END-USERS shall not be entitled to distribute or transfer in any way (including, without, limitation by way of sublicense) the Assets in any other way than as integrated components of electronic games and interactive media. END-USER may otherwise not reproduce, distribute, sublicense, rent, lease or lend the Assets. ![]() Except for game services software development kits (“Services SDKs”), END-USERS may modify Assets. Licensor grants to the END-USER a non-exclusive, worldwide, and perpetual license to the Asset to integrate Assets only as incorporated and embedded components of electronic games and interactive media and distribute such electronic game and interactive media. The free and pro Unity-EULA can be found here, and doesn't actually mention anything about the Asset Store or assets from the store:Īlso note that all of these EULA's specifically state that open source licenses take precedence over any of these conditions. ![]() ![]() I'm not sure this is what the A* Pathfinding people intended. If this is true, then the claim from the A* Pathfinding Project that "The license is the AssetStore Free License and the AssetStore Commercial License respectively for the Free and Pro versions of the project." is meaningless if I'm using Unity Pro then I can use the free version of their assets commercially. Click to expand. So it looks like if you are using Unity Free version (or trial version of Unity Pro) then any assets you get from the Asset Store (free or paid) are governed by the Unity Free license plus any further license given by the asset's creator, and if you are using Unity Pro then any assets you get from the Asset Store (free or paid) are governed by the Unity Pro license. ![]()
